Starting retinol Reddit atarax

I started using retinol last year.

At first my face was so red, dry and sensitive, it was painful! This is my face now:I'm 32 and still don't have wrinkles.

Her veins are more visible on her face than her neck or hands. However, I heard of women using it since their mid-20's and claiming that retinoid is what kept their skin so young, so I am looking into long term retinoid use.May I hear your testimonies & stories (even if it may be about someone else who uses retinoid)?I'm 23 and started using Retin-A 0.025% about 4 months ago.

I use my exfoliating Clarisonic in the morning (or a washcloth if my face is too sensitive) with Clenia (sulphur wash) and the a humectant moisturizer.

I'm 29 and I still get carded, so that's pretty cool.I was prescribed Retin-A when I was in middle school to treat mild acne, so I went through the red-faced phase back then.

She is in her late 60s and doesn't have wrinkles. It's gravity. I am 21, and I am thinking of starting with retinol slowly, and then building up to retinoids to help with faint freckles, hyperpigmentation, and prevent some future wrinkles.I am wondering if long term use of retinoid is really that helpful for preventative measures at my age, and if there are any adverse effect to starting early, especially when I don't "need" it yet. My skin can handle it quite well, and I wonder if that's partly because I used it first at such a young age. As you may already know, retinol is amazing for both anti-aging and acne-fighting benefits. The first month on retinol can be brutal.

The skin on the lips is very thin and sensitive, and it’s the area of the body where skin cancers metastasize faster. If you can, just go for the prescription stuff. So far so good - my skin isn't completely clear nor PIH-free, but it's incredibly smooth and soft!

That's for later in life. It definitely doesn't help with her sun spots. Gio April 2, 2016 - 9:19 pm. and I have definitely noticed a decrease in fine lines.I haven't been taking it for years or decades, so I can't really speak to the anti-aging benefits too much, but I guess this is to say that you can use Tretinoin for more than just that! Unless, there is something else in the product that causes the breakouts?

Otherwise, you are a masochist, and I can't help that. Of course, Egotr4p adds that retinol hasn’t been the only change she’s made to her routine in the last few years—she also went vegan, which has “improved the texture of my skin and frequency of pimples appearing,” she But don’t freak if you’re not ready to completely change your diet—retinol will still get you noticeable results within just a few months, as long as you stay diligent with it. Amy, after 6 weeks, the worst should be over. Retinol-containing cleansers are simply a waste of money, because the retinol is washed down the drain and is not on the skin long enough to work. Then I actually started using the Cetaphil like my derm told me to and about a year later... All the guys who were previously making fun of my face got shot down when they attempted to "go out" with me. I only recently added the AHA back in, very slowly, after completely adjusting to the tretinoin.Talk to your derm about it!

It's definitely my favorite chemical exfoliant, even though it's not an OTC product.I'm using the lowest possible dosage of Retin-A micro, and I've been using it since last year.

I'm sure he/she will give you a better idea of what retinoids can do for you :)I just turned 30, and I've been using retinoids for about 5 years.Frankly, it's difficult to say if the retinol is keeping my skin young.

It's much better, more reliable and less expensive than the drugstore or dept.

I still think BC is better for my acne since it's mostly hormonal, but retin-a has helped with the texture of my skin!I started using 0.025% tretinoin cream for acne in March. So far it has really improved my skin texture (so much smoother and my pores really do look much less pronounced) and has helped decrease both the number and severity of the pustular acne I was getting on my chin and cheeks. Not only that, but I have been carefully using it under my eyes and on the outer corners (under the eyes is okay, eyelids are not!) However, remember that it's not just the wrinkles that will do you in. They certainly have been for me, and it's been less than a year. Also, for the love of skin, be patient during the flaky/peeling phase. When should I start using retinol?
