did you lose weight after stopping zoloft combivent

Doing it real tough dizziness wise, but hoping it will all be worth it. I was on Zoloft for a few months and actually lost weight very easily, but my doctor said if I start gaining weight that I should stop taking it and we will try something else because it would mean that I am having an allergic reaction to the drug. I have lost 5-7 lbs. I have been working out everyday for almost a month and besides some arm and leg toning my fat has not moved on my tummy! I started taking prozac 20 mg, then 40 mgs, about 8 months ago. I am in the same boat as you! On meds I'm far more prone to: more frequent cheat days, comfort food, eating without realizing it, alcohol, etc. I wanted to post here because I'm in the similar situation. Conscious eating and exercise helps. I have now been on Zoloft & Sertaline for about 14 months. WE ARE ALWAYS HERE TO TRY TO HELP BUT THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THESE MEDICATIONS SO FEEL FREE TO CHECK BACK. So I am right there with you and hopefully will start seeing results soon. Despite this, I don't think the meds had anything to do with my weight, but rather my behavior and diet. I did not start seeing any results from working out till December and it is still a slow process. I find walking helps me a lot in many ways. I think it's been 3 month but it could be 2 or 4 months now. I never had any problems with my weight then I put on two stones in weight due to taking SSRI antidepressants.. I have heard of people losing the excess weight after quitting a medication. You will lose weight, give it another couple of weeks. I had that problem with prozac. This past March my phyciatrist increased my Zoloft to 100mg. So I would take a very critical look at your diet before putting too much weight on the medication.I am weaning as per psychiatrist instruction. It is very frustrating. I just stopped taking Zolof completely t about a week and a half ago and I am having severe withdrawal symptoms. Maybe a half sandwich and a glass of milk and maybe some yogurt. My doctor recently added the generic form of Wellbutrin to my Setraline. Just don't lose hope. However, I agree with the poster who said that you can lose weight despite side effects of these drugs. Not with zoloft but with prozac. I have actually lost weight since starting. My only thing I can attest this too along with my dr is coming off Zoloft! Even my doctor confirmed that zoloft is notorious for that and is one of the worst for weight gain in the family of ssri`s. Stay positive and keep up the work. And it's not impossible to lose weight while I Zoloft (I lost 70 pounds of the weight I gained while taking Zoloft, then gained back 10 of that over the last year which I am now working on losing). Well, I see noone has been talking about During the weight gain, I craved food like crazy but still had a moderate diet and performed strenuous weight lifting 3-5 times per week. I was so upset with the weight loss, I had my Dr order complete blood count which came back normal and a chest x ray which also was normal. However I am lucky enough to have never had withdrawal, even if I accidentky forgot one day, where as others I know will miss a day and feel very sick.I took Prozac for 10 months and Zoloft for 4. I have to disagree with you there, I gained the weight very fast when I went on zoloft, and I know that it was the zoloft that was responsible for it. I worked out the last 2 years and was anywhere from 195 to 200. Partially due to exercise and changes of conditions, I now feel like I can handle my depression without Citalopram, and was wondering how long after stoping I can be hopeful about losing the associated weight? hello.I started taking Zoloft yrs ago,and it decreased my appetite too. I learned a lesson here-ALWAYS keep track of the day you officially stop your medicine lol.
