I was then right back to the vicious cycle of horrible flares and endless steroids along with methotrexate for a few years until humira was fda approved. I cannot imagine how awful you must feel, but as you state, you are now in remission, which is at least one good thing to smile about Doctors has no answer for me and makes light of the problem so, I live with it. I noticed that I suddenly started to lose a LOT of hair a week ago. BTW, are you o.k. Just a suggestion. had the same hairloss from pred too, doc switched to entocort as it has a lot less side effects, also stay away from as much salt intake as you can on the preds it helps with someof the weight gain. Hair loss as a result of medications is often temporary, meaning normal hair growth will resume when people stop taking the drug. I've been crying no end as 'not brushing it' as my family have suggested is not really an option when it's mad and curly as it knots up. I never had to do much and it looked fine. This is definitely worth investigating, even if the health professionals tell you they've never heard of it.
